New Providence Big Band kicks off the Bristol 4th of July concert series in 2021.
The New Providence Big Band is looking forward to reconnecting with the outside world in 2021.
We've been missing everyone in the band and all of our faithful followers. This year is also getting off to a slow start, but our schedule is starting to take shape starting in June.
During this past year we headed off into our practice rooms at home and the recording studio (one at a time and socially distanced from the technician), laying down some of our favorite tracks. We've added some of these songs to our website as a preview for new listeners and for the pleasure of those who have been nostalgic for the sounds of The New Providence Big Band.
We hope everyone is doing well and we just can't wait to get back to doing what we love to do. Things may still look different as we all do our best to stay safe and keep our loved ones safe. As we keep up with statewide guidelines on the ongoing pandemic, be sure to check our schedule over the next few months. Be well, stay safe and we hope to see you very soon.
The New Providence Big Band is a 17 piece band playing everything from 'In the Mood' era music, to Stevie Wonder's 'Sir Duke' (arranged by Chris Walden). Our featured vocalist is Katie Kleyla, an East Coast phenomenon, and an exceptional performer.
