New Providence Big Band @The Met
We’d like to thank all of those fans that came out to see us at The Met on Nov. 30, 2021. It was one of the few highlights of 2021, especially due to our 3 guest artists. Don Chilton on conch shells was a really special and new treat for all of us. Lisa Kay of ‘The Winehouse Project’ gave a spectacular performance and really wowed us with her vocal talents. Rory Malloy, also of ‘The Winehouse Project,’ joined us on guitar on many songs and also did guitar featured songs. His guitar prowess was amazing.
Merry Christmas everyone, and please have a safe and Happy New Year!
Please enjoy this video sampling of the concert; Don Chilton on his original composition “Seashell Serenade.”
The New Providence Big Band is hopeful for the year 2022.
We hope everyone is doing well, and we can't wait to get back to doing much more of what we love to do. As we all try to get back to normal living, we are looking forward to 2022. We hope that we'll slowly fill our schedule and will see everyone more often. So be sure to check our schedule every few months. Be well, stay safe, and we hope to see you very soon.
The New Providence Big Band is a 17 piece band playing everything from 'In the Mood' era music, to Stevie Wonder's 'Sir Duke' (arranged by Chris Walden). Our featured vocalist is Katie Kleyla, an East Coast phenomenon, and an exceptional performer.
